Florence Joelle's Kiss of Fire - I'll Come Running

2011 seems to be having a small resurgence of bands that are producing classic sounds of early rock n roll, bluesy & doo wop but with a contemporary twist. I fell in love with Kitty Daisy & Lewis's LP entitled: Smoking in Heaven earlier this year (and also developed a crush on Daisy lool!), now fairly recently i stumbling across the equally fabulous Florence Joelle's Ring of Fire almost accidentally. I contacted the band after hearing Stardust Merchant politely asking if they would perform at the festival. Not expecting any response i was pleasantly shocked when i received response by the vocalist of the group.

Florence kindly sent out their debut LP (which I'll be reviewing this Friday) & i can confirm that this band are one's to watch very carefully. Without ruining the review let's just say that; this band are on the verge of taking the world by storm. One of the unique aspects of their music is that it sounds timeless, it retains the conventions of genre whilst sounding like it would fit perfectly in a Quentin Tarantino flick. It's understandable while they are getting attention around the globe. Check out this groovy cut called: I'll Come Running which perfectly demonstrates the band's vibe & style.
